Star Wars Episode 7 Cast Rumors: Christina Chong Joins

British actress Christina Chong joins the cast of the brand new installment of the 'Star Wars' film series, the 'Star Wars Episode VII'.

The actress is said to be playing a minor role in the film, according to The Latino Review.

She has appeared in several hit series like 'Doctor Who', '24', and has just landed the female lead in a digital feature 'Halo: Nightfall'.

In Chong's tweet in May, she posted a picture during their first day of production with the caption "Very cool."

The latest "Star Wars" movie will show the adventures of Luke Skywalker, Hans Solo, and Princess Leia who will be played by Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher. The three lead characters will be retuning for their roles from the classic trilogy that were shown during 1977-1983.

Lucasfilm and Twentieth Century Fox were the original movie outfits which produced the 'Star Wars' saga. According to Cinemablend, in 2005, when they released 'Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith', fans assumed that it would be the end of the film series.

Disney Productions bought Lucasfilm in 2012 with a deal that stipulated the continuation of the 'Star Wars' saga which will be shown every two to three years.

"I've always believed that 'Star Wars' could live beyond me. 'Star Wars' will certainly live on and flourish for many generations to come. Disney's reach and experience give Lucasfilm the opportunity to blaze new trails in film, television, interactive media, theme parks, live entertainment and consumer products," 'Star Wars' creator George Lucas said, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Jeffrey Jacob "J.J" Abrams, who has directed films like 'Mission Impossible' and 'Star Trek' will be directing 'Episode VII'.

The latest 'Star Wars' film is rumored to be released in December 2015.
