Star Wars Episode 7 Cast Members Carrie Fisher and James Earl Jones Featured in Episode of The Big Bang Theory

CBS' The Big Bang Theory is welcoming two legendary Star Wars actors on television's top rated and most viewed comedy show.

Big Bang executive producers Bill Prady and Steve Molaro spoke to TVLine on the Golden Globes red carpet yesterday, and said both James Earl Jones (the voice of Darth Vader) and Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia Organa) will play themselves in a future episode, crossing paths with avid Trekkie Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons).

Jones' past TV credits include shows such as: House, Two and a Half Men, and Everwood. Fisher's TV roles includes appearances on shows such as: Entourage, 30 Rock, and Weeds. In addition, she also voiced the character of Pawtucket Brewery worker Angela on the hit animated series Family Guy.

This in not the only Star Wars news related to the Big Bang Theory show recently. The Big Bang Theory's star, Kaley Cuoco, had auditioned for a sought-after role in Star Wars Episode VII film, but as her sitcom character Penny.

In an episode of The Big Bang Theory, the aspiring actress Penny was completely devastated after discovering her role was removed from an episode of NCIS. Nevertheless, Leonard (Johnny Galecki), attempted to offer his love interest some hope when he told Penny about a Star Wars Episode VII audition, according to a Yahoo report.

Star Wars Episode VII will make its long-awaited return to the big screen on December 18, 2015. The Big Bang Theory airs on Thursdays at 8:00 pm EST on CBS.
