'Star Wars Battlefront 3' Release Date: Delayed Despite Battlefield 4
The highly anticipated addition to the Star War series of video games, Star Wars Battlefront 3, has had its release date delayed. Electronic Arts and DICE have been maintaining silence on the exact release dates so far, but sources indicate that the game will most likely be launched in the summer of 2015.
LucasFilm, a production company for the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises, is said to have some role in the game's development. LucasFilm has announced that there will be a major story line reset.
The official trailer of Star Wars: Battlefront 3 was previewed last month featuring the icy world of Hoth and Endor. Also, many speculate that with the Star Wars Episode 7 film hitting cinemas on December 18th, 2015, a winter or an autumn release of the game would be the perfect strategy for cashing in on the residual hype.
Also, the Battlefield 4 was seen plagued with many bugs and problems for months after its release. This caused DICE to suspend all its project developments, including Battlefront, until the Battlefield 4 was fixed. This is the primary reason for the the delay in the long awaited Battlefront 3 addition to the series.
The game is one of the most anticipated upcoming titles, and the developers are trying to create a game that is jaw dropping. As it stands now, the current position of the game leans toward a release date that might need pushing to sometime in early 2016. Fans understand that an incomplete and bug ridden game could be a major detriment to a franchise, hence, most gamers are willing to enure the wait.
