'Star Wars: Episode VII', which is scheduled to debut in theaters in December 2015, will reportedly feature Adam Driver as a villain.
Adam Driver became famous for his character in the hit HBO series 'Girls' and also played significant roles in several highly acclaimed films like 'Lincoln', 'This Is Where I Leave You' and 'Inside Llewyn Davis'.
Driver was rumored to grab a role as a villain in the much anticipated J.J. Abrams-directed film.
Joel Edgerton, Driver's co-star in 'Midnight Express' revealed a big clue regarding Driver's role in the movie.
An interview with MTV News hinted that Driver might actually grab a role in 'Star Wars:Episode VIII' as a villain, though it did not reveal additional details about it.
"Adam Driver and I worked together on this Jeff Nichols movie last year. Literally, he got cast, and then I heard he was going to be playing new whatever version of the villain in the new 'Star Wars' movie. The next day I had to do a scene with him after I read this. I said 'I'm scared to do this scene with you now because you might [Force choke me]," Edgerton stated.
Cinema Blend reports that the villain on 'Star Wars: Episode VII' could be anyone from a descendant of Count Dooku to an evil X-Wing pilot.
Additionally, Cinema Blend also speculated that Driver's character may acquire powers based on past 'Star Wars' films, suggesting that his role may be linked to Dooku.
Aside from that, the villain that Driver will reportedly portray might also grab hold of an X-Wing and plan an assault towards Han Solo's Millenium Faction.
Driver, on the other hand, did not confirm the rumors and has kept mum on whether he will play as a villain in 'Star Wars' or not.
Meanwhile, other actors included in the cast are Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Lupita Nyongo, Carrie Fisher and Daisy Ridley.
'Star Wars: Episode VII' will premiere on December 18, 2015.
