'Star Trek Into Darkness' Release Date Pushed up to May 16, Hit Theaters One Day Early
Star Trek fans got some good news today announcing that 'Star Trek Into Darkness' will release one day early on May 16th.
Moviegoers are waiting for the much anticipated sequel to the first Star Trek (2009) movie, entitled Star Trek into Darkness.
Once again, Paramount Pictures will distribute the new Star Trek saga, directed by J. J. Abrams, and written by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. Following in the successful steps of the first Star Trek (2009) movie, this new movie is being touted as a "high adventure", "action thriller", full of fascinating secrets and intrigue.
The main plot of the movie pits the crew of the starship Enterprise against a menacing, powerfully destructive force of terror which has infiltrated Starfleet command. There is imminent danger that everything Starfleet stands for will be lost. Because of the terror unleashed, Earth is left in a state crisis, confusion, and uncertainty.
The strength of the movie lies in the development of the key characters. Abrams is a master of seeing his key characters becoming heroic as they stand against incredible forces which seek to destroy them. Star Trek into Darkness promises it's audience dazzling scenes of high-tech visual images, and an exhilarating sense of adventure.
The movie moves between nostalgia and a fresh modernization to the Star Trek mystique. This promises to be one of the best movies of the summer and will provide a great journey into the world of science fiction for those who view it.
