Spurs Win Huge Game 5 Vs Heat, Take 3-2 Lead, Big Game from Ginobili, Danny Green Sets 3-point Record
The NBA Finals were back on ABC tonight with Game 5 in San Antonio with the Spurs vs Heat.
Besides Game 1, all of the games have been lob-sided victories, which is rare for an NBA Finals match-up.
With Game 4 going to the Heat to even the series up at 2-2, the series flow would assume that the Spurs would have a big bounce back game. Well, that is exactly what happened. The Spurs turned up the offense in the 3rd quarter and built up a 20 point lead in the fourth and held it in check for the duration of the game.
Manu Ginobili was the spark plug for the Spurs tonight like he has been for so many games and series in the past for San Antonio. He has struggled in these playoffs, but came up with a huge 24 points and 10 assists to tie with Danny Green for leading scorer for the Spurs tonight.
Lebron James again struggled shooting the ball going 8-22 from the field and ending up with 25 points, Wade also ended up with 25 points.
Danny Green again played big and was hot from the 3 point arc hitting 6 3 pointers. Green set an NBA Finals record for 3 pointers made with 25 in the series so far, passing the mark previously held by Ray Allen.
The Miami Heat just simply do not lose two games in a row, it just does not happen. So we will see if the Spurs can finally break that streak and win the title on Heat's floor in Game 6.
Game 6 will be in Miami on Tuesday night.
