The San Antonio Spurs may be a little older than most NBA teams, but they see their age not as a liability, but an advantage. With that age, comes experience. And with that experience, comes wisdom, insight, and perspective. But regardless of their perspective, they know that they only have one job tonight: Beat the Memphis Grizzlies to win the series and go to the finals.

"Absolutely, absolutely," Spurs center Tim Duncan said Sunday. "We know they're not going to lay down. We're going to have to beat them. We understand what we have going here, and we understand that we want to finish is as quickly as we can." His words carried weight, as they let a 2-0 lead go last year, as they lost a series to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

But, their trio of superstars are in the twilights of their careers. Tony Parker, Manu Ginobli, and Tim Duncan are all in the last year of their professional careers and feel like they need to overcome their age differential. Even though this is the 16th straight trip to the playoffs for the Spurs, they've not been in the Finals since 2006.

San Antonio looks to finish a reeling Grizzlies team that lost in overtime in their last meeting, 104-93. The close game and hard loss could either light a fire on the Memphis bench, or be the first punch of the 1-2 knockout blow that sends them packing. And it certainly didn't hurt that the Spurs had three days off between Games 2 and 3 with both going to overtime. And, if they win tonight and put out the Grizzlies in four games, they can avoid a long series and have an extended rest time before the Finals against the winner of the Miami-Indiana series.

"We want to finish as soon as we can for a lot of different reasons," Parker said. "I think that we should give them no hope, and it's always sweet to win on the road. I'm pretty sure the whole team understands that we have to keep taking nothing for granted and keep playing our game and try to finish tomorrow.
