Spurs Upset Heat in Miami for Game 1 of NBA Finals, Lebron James Gets Triple-Double

The NBA Finals opened up with Game 1 tonight on ABC with the Miami Heat vs San Antonio Spurs.

The Heat came into Game 1 as the favorites to win the Finals being the defending Champs, however many NBA fans knew that with the trouble the Heat had against the Pacers, they were vulnerable to losing against the Spurs.

Well that notion was answered at the end of the first game with the Spurs defeating the Heat 92-88 to take a 1-0 lead in the NBA Finals.

Tony parker was able to control the tempo for the Spurs which was what killed the Pacers against the Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals  and hit the biggest reason they lost the series to the Heat.

Parker controlled the fourth quarter as well with 10 points and 0 turnovers.

Tim Duncan, who is not a great foul shooter, calmly hits 2 foul shots with one minute left to play in the fourth quarter.

Parker then hit the shot of the game with only a few seconds in the fourth and the shot clock winding down to put the Spurs up 4 points and ice the game.

What got the Pacers in trouble against the Heat was turnovers, so the stat of the night for the Spurs would have to be that they only had 4 turnovers in the WHOLE game against the Heat. That is an unbelievable stat against the Heat who play such good defense.

Lebron James fills up the stat sheet for Miami again with 18 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists in the loss.

Chris Bosh again had a subpar game for the Heat going 6-16, 0-4 from three, scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assist.

Game 2 will be Sunday night at 8pm EST in Miami on ABC.
