'Spider-Man' Reboot News: Upcoming Marvel Movie May Include New Villain Kraven the Hunter

Latest reports suggest that fans may see a new villain taking on the wall-crawling superhero in the upcoming 'Spider-Man' reboot. Some time back, studio president Kevin Feige had confirmed that the next 'Spider-Man' movie will bring in a villain who has not been seen in any earlier Marvel movies.

Citing a report in Daily Super Hero, IB Times states that an insider of the movie project told the website that the studio is considering introducing villain Kraven the Hunter in the upcoming movie. While the movie project is still in its initial stages of development, the report said that the talks are being held "behind closed doors."

According to reports, two factors are in favor of including Kraven in the upcoming 'Spider-Man' reboot. First, the character has not appeared in any previous movie, and, second, the character possesses the "skill set" needed to be featured in a movie after a superhero civil war.

In fact, the character of Kraven that fans will be seeing in the upcoming movie would be a "modernized" adaptation of the comic books character. The source close to the movie project hinted that Kraven may possibly be the first villain to be encountered by young Peter Parker and more powerful villains may be introduced as he picks up the tricks of being a superhero.

Recently, Feige revealed to Birth Movies Death that the upcoming movie will actually be a "soap opera in high school." According to him, "everything feels like life or death" for teenagers.

In an interview with Zap2It, Feige said that Spider-Man featuring in the upcoming movie will be closer to the comic books character. According to him, different from the previous movies, where Parker was the only hero, the next 'Spider-Man' movie will depict him as a "kid in Queens," who also has other superheroes to rely on.
