'Spectre' Movie Plot Spoilers: James Bond Film Script Hacked From Sony's Database

The upcoming James Bond movie, 'Spectre', has apparently fallen victim to a recent cyber attack that hit Sony's database of files and emails. The producers revealed that the hackers took the film's script, and expressed their concern about any possible leaks online.

Eon Productions released an official statement about the incident that read:

"Eon Productions, the producers of the James Bond films, learned this morning that an early version of the screenplay for the new Bond film SPECTRE is amongst the material stolen and illegally made public by hackers who infiltrated the Sony Pictures Entertainment computer system. Eon Productions is concerned that third parties who have received the stolen screenplay may seek to publish it or its contents."

Meanwhile, the web blog Gawker published the alleged story of the upcoming franchise installment. While the post has not been validated, there's a chance that these spoilers are actually legitimate.

According to Gawker:

"Bond, having destroyed part of Mexico City on a rogue operation, and facing forced retirement as MI-6 merges with its sister agency MI-5, escapes across Europe on a mission posthumously assigned to him by his late boss, M (played by Judi Dench). He seduces the wife (Monica Bellucci) of a man he assassinated, and, using information from her, attends a meeting of a sinister group of masked terrorists led by a man who knows Bond from his past."

Not long ago, director Sam Mendes mentioned that he'd like to keep the storyline for the film a secret as long as possible.

"I was so excited to tell this story but to explain why, I would have to tell you the plot and I can't do that," said Mendes.

'Spectre' started filming this month and speculations that the movie has stopped its production are not true. Sony spokesperson Robert Lawson confirmed that they are pushing through with the next James Bond franchise film.

"Productions are still moving forward," said Lawson.

As the franchise continues, Daniel Craig reprises his role as James Bond and he drive a slick new car, which is the limited edition Aston DB10. The new Bond girls will be portrayed by Monica Belluci and Lea Seydoux. Last but not least, Christoph Waltz will star as the new villain.

'Spectre' stands for Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion. The 24th James Bond film is set to release on Nov. 6, 2015.
