Spain decimated Italy in the Euro 2012 final, and will try to repeat in Thurday's 2013 Confederations Cup semifinal. Both Spain and Italy are representing UEFA in Brazil with another major trophy at stake.

Italy midfielder Claudio Marquisio feels it's the Azzurri chance to prove they are in fact just as good as Spain.

"It's true, they are the best. They are the champions of everything. But we start on the same level. We [Italy] don't feel like we've already been beaten. It's not about revenge against them but we aim to go all the way," Marquisio told the media.

Both Spain and Italy have impressed in Brazil, with Spain emerging undefeated from Group B, which includes Uruguay, Nigeria, and Tahiti. Italy manage to put up 4 goals to advance past Japan but did lose to Brazil.

"We've improved a lot in the last year. Critics say we conceded too many goals. We'll play this game with plenty of motivation," Marquisio added.

On club level Argentina star Carlos Tevez will soon be joining Marquisio on Juventus after Manchester City agreeing on a transaction with the Serie A champs.

If Italy can make it past Spain, they'll face host Brazil in the 2013 FIFA Confederations Final.

Tune in to see if Spain can maintain their glory and repeat their Euro 2012 performance against Italy Thursday at 3 PM ET.

TV Schedule: ESPN, Univision, BBC One, Sportsnet, TLN, TeleCinco, Sky Calcio 1.
