"South Park" will return tonight from a one year hiatus for the season 17 premiere that will tackle the NSA scandal. Episode 1 of season 17 will be called "Let Go, Let Gov." The controversial show already has several spoilers surrounding its promo trailer that has been released by Comedy Central. The first episode will be centered around the PRISM scandal by the NSA and features Cartman as a detective who gets inside the NSA and blows the lid off of the whole thing.

Meanwhile, Butters struggles with his religion and reportedly wants to find "someone new to listen to his prayers." It's very possible that these two plots will intersect in some way and create an entirely new, strange theme as "South Park" has been known to do in the past.
