Hip-hop duo Marty and Fern, who go under their collective name Social Club Misfits, will release their first EP on May 6 since signing to Capitol Christian Records.

Fans can start pre-orders for the EP starting on April 29, and those who will do so can have a free download of "Courage," the group's breakthrough single.

In a statement, the group said, "We are extremely excited about our new partnership with Capitol CMG. It's an honor to get to work with such a great team who strongly supports our music and overall vision. Our new EP The Misfit Generation will maintain the Social Club [Misfits] sound while also broadening our scope to engage the culture at large."

The feeling is mutual for Peter York, Capitol Christian Music Group president, who expressed his excitement over signing the Social Club Misfits to the label.

"They bring a unique energy, purpose and creative offering to our valued roster," he said. "They are effectively reaching their audience and making an impact in lives across the country with great music, a compelling show and a message of hope. I'm grateful to work with them and for what they represent in the world of hip hop."

The first EP of Social Club Misfits under the Capitol Christian Records will feature five tracks which will put the spotlight on hip hop as a tool to evangelize, rather than to spread hate and violence. The recording is produced by Chris Batson, Elvin Shanhbazian and Raymond Castro.

"We sing different, we dress different and were not embarrassed of the God we serve. We are the misfit generation," the duo said.

The Social Club Misfits will also hit the road for the Therapy Sessions tour beginning May 4 in Chicago and will conclude in Memphis on May 22.
