Sleepy Hollow, the tall-tale of the headless horsemen, came to life when FOX aired  its first episode on Spetember 16. The series is a mystery drama that is full of suspense when Ichabod Crane arises from the dead to join forces with Lt. Abbie Mills in effort to stop the nightly killing spree of the Headless Horsemen.  As story goes, the headless Horsemen originally got his name from a battle in the American Revolutionary War where he and Ichabod fought eachother and in turn killed one another. The Headless Horsemen was the first to puncture , yet before Ichabod took his last breath, he was able to completley cut off the Horsemens head. Now this being the most common use of the short story, there are plenty more different versions to reiterate. 

Sleepy Hollow: Season 1, begins by introducing the Headless Horsemen to the town of Sleepy Hollow by an overnight mass murder and Icabod arising to save the night. Ichabod quickly realizes that the Headless Horsemen is not going to be the last to arise from the dead, since he is only the first of the original Four Horsemen of the Apocalyspe.With having only one of his enemies alive, Ichabod must figure out a way to be able to protect Sleepy Hollow from the Headless  and ultimatley the demise of the Four Horsemen. When Ichabod pairs up with Lt. Abbie Mills, he finds it harder for people to believe the tales of what happened in 1776. In this Season, Ichabod must face reality and prepare to fight the War all over again. Episode 4 aires next Monday on 9/8p.m. central on FOX with a surprsing discovery of an artifact that relates back to the Boston Tea Party and Ichabods attempt to steal from the British government.
