When an unidentified boy is discovered in Sleepy Hollow, Ichabod Crane and Lt. Abbie Mills are called to the scene. After speaking with the child, they immediately realize that something sinister and sickly is afoot and the duo go on a hunt to discover his home and origins - and are shocked by what they find.

Sleepy Hollow has become one of the hottest new show's on television since it's Season 1 premiere a month ago. What's the secret behind the success.

Showrunner Alex Kurtzman says it's the balance between good humor and a crazy world.

"The key to this world is, if you keep it grounded in this emotional reality it'll feel authentic, but it has to be funny," executive producer Kurtzman explained at New York Comic-Con on Sunday. "We know how crazy our show is going to be. We know we are one molecule away from insane every second and that's the balance that were constantly holding."
