Tennessee rockers Skillet are touring extensively in North America and Europe this spring, along with their new album 'Rise,' due for release this summer. The band has also announced a special event called The Road to Rise VIP Experience, which is currently scheduled for two cities.

Following the success of the band's two most recent albums 'Comatose' and 'Awake', Skillet has been touring extensively across North America and other parts of the world, most recently on their Awake & Alive Tour.

On June 25, Skillet is due to release their eight studio album 'Rise', which we reviewed on Breathecast last week. The album is the follow up to one of the most successful rock albums in recent years, 'Awake,' which was one of just three rock albums certified platinum last year.

According to the Skillet's website, the current tour will take the band overseas to places like Germany, Netherlands, and Denmark, and later in the summer Russia.

If you are in North America, you can call yourself lucky if you live in Columbus, Ohio, Edmonton, Canada, and not surprisingly Tennessee, where they will play a special event in Nashville called The Road to Rise VIP Experience. This special event will also take place in Chicago, Illinois.
