In September 2012,  American pastor, Saeed Abedini was arrested while building orphanages in Iran, since then he has been arrest to 8 years in prison on charges of sharing the Christian faith in homes across Iran.  

A petition has been circulating by Saeed's friends, family and attorney to help raise awareness and to hopefully lead to his and others release.  

The movement has been working as the European Union called for Saeed's release on Monday.  Also, Congress will hold a hearing friday on "human rights' and will be discussing Saeed and other Christians being persecuted in Iran. 

Saeed has been in prison for over 5 months at one of the worst prisons in the country.  

The goal is to have everyone to get 3 friends to sign the petition.  "Save Saeed, reach 3 today" 

They have been using the hashtag #savesaeed to raise awareness on twitter.
