'Sin City 2: Dame to Die For' Movie: Jessica Alba Left Christian Church After Relationship With Bisexual Dancer

'Sin City: Dame to Die' actress Jessica Alba revealed in a new interview that her relationship with a bisexual ballerina dancer made her leave her Christian Church.

"I fell in love when I was 16 and had this major crush on... I guess he was a drag queen? He was bisexual and a ballerina, and this was while I was at the Atlantic Theater Company in Vermont," said Alba to the Daily Beast.

She explained, "We used to go to this gay club and I'd dance with him all night, four nights a week. I was so in love with him and thought, 'There's no way this guy's going to hell,' because in my church, it was, 'Anybody who's gay is going to hell' and 'Premarital sex is evil,' and I thought, 'There's no chance! This guy is amazing!' So that went right out the window."

In addition, she said that her previous church did not also approve of her role as Florie Hernandez (a teen who had an STD) in the 'Chicago Hope' episode titled "Sexual Perversity in Chicago Hope" in 1996.

The 33-year-old Californian native is now promoting her new film 'Sin City: Dame to Die For', where she reprises her role as exotic dancer Nancy Callahan, a woman with a dark past in the movie that was co-directed by entertainment legends Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller.

"Nancy's one of my favorite characters I've ever played, and Sin City is hands-down my favorite movie I've ever been in. If I wasn't in that movie I would've wanted to be in that movie," said Alba.

She went on to say, "It's the most fun thing, and so rare to see women [who can defend themselves in a fight] do that onscreen. As a woman, to get the opportunity to do that is so cool. I just wish the experience lasted longer because I enjoyed it so much, and it's such a departure from how I am in real life, so it's great to get lost in this dark character and this dark world."

Alba currently has two daughters (Honor Marie Warren and Haven Garner) with her husband Cash Warren, who she married in May 2008.

'Sin City: Dame to Die For' was released in American theaters on August 22, 2014.
