Sims 4 PC News Update: Release Date Announcement Set for E3 2014?

Electronic Arts (EA) has recently stated that it will announce the release date of its much anticipated lifestyle simulation game "Sims 4" at the E3 2014.

In his blog post on the EA Dev site, producer Graham Nardone has claimed that there are two major reasons for Sims fans to be excited about EA's forthcoming press conference at the E3 2014, scheduled for Monday, June 9. According to Graham, firstly, EA will be announcing the release date of The Sims 4 at this event, and second, they will be reintroducing the trailer of its new gameplay at the E3.

Sims fans can go through the Origin Exclusive Content of the upcoming game on the updated product page for TS4 on the online retailer's website. It has been announced that Sims fans availing the Digital Deluxe Edition of The Sims 4 will receive the Awesome Animal Hats Digital Content. A separate post on SimsVIP says that it includes a "collection of fun animal hats for your Sims to wear and show off!"

Origin's Digital Deluxe Edition of The Sims 4 is currently available for pre-order, priced at $80.91.

Meanwhile, another report says that Russia has given an adults-only rating to The Sims 4! In fact, The SIMS 4 has come under fire due to the incorporation of same-sex relationships into the game. According to Ars Technia, Russia has classified the game as 18+ for this feature alone, in the life simulation game.

The website reports that the news broke out soon after a Russian SIMS account posted a tweet announcing that the game is "prohibited for children." As per Google translation, the tweet reads, "Established Russian rating # TheSims4 - 18 + (Prohibited for children)." Another tweet says that the Russian action comes "in accordance with the law number 436-FZ."

Meanwhile, Sims fans who will not be able to attend the E3 2014 in Los Angeles, can watch the event live at www.ea.com/e3. Sims executive producer Rachel Franklin will address the EA E3 2014 Press Conference.
