For the first time ever, two of the most popular animated series of all-time will finally be seen together when The Simpsons family appear in an upcoming crossover episode on The Family Guy. The crossover episode has been titled "The Simpsons Guy."

Fans will witness patriarchs Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin literally brawling over which beer tastes better: Springfield's Duff beer or Quahog's Pawtucket Patriot brewery when the episode debuts this fall.

"Finally I can get my hands on this guy!," said Homer Simpson (voiced by veteran voice actor Dan Castellaneta) in a statement released by FOX in reference to meeting Griffin in the future episode.

Peter Griffin also made comment about the landmark episode that will air on the FOX network in a few months.

"Fox hasn't spent this much money since they took Simon Cowell tight T-shirt shopping," said Griffin (voiced by "Family Guy" and "American Dad" creator Seth MacFarlane).

The Griffins will visit the Simpsons' hometown of Springfield where the two families will cross paths in the groundbreaking episode. Stewie Griffin will marvel at Bart Simpson's devious hijinks when the two troublemakers meet each other and cause mischief in the streets of Springfield. In addition, Bart will also teach baby Stewie how to skateboard when the kids start to connect with each other.

The boys' mothers Lois and Marge will also bond when the two matriarchs appear together in "The Simpsons Guy" event. Often neglected daughters Lisa Simpson and Meg Griffin also develop a friendship when Springfield's resident bookworm helps Meg figure out what her talents are.   

Fox Entertainment Chairman Kevin Reilly knows how major this unprecedented crossover episode will be for the network.

"Generations of fans will be talking about this one," said Reilly in a network demonstration in New York recently.

"The Simpsons Guy" episode of "Family Guy" will debut this September on the Fox Network.
