'Silent Hills' PS4, Xbox One, PC Release Date News: Norman Reedus Cast as Main Charater in Game Slated for 2015 Launch [TRAILER VIDEO]
While a new trailer for the upcoming Konami title 'Silent Hills' has been revealed, there is no confirmation about a release date for the highly-anticipated horror survival game. However, rumor has it that the title will launch on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in 2015.
According to recent reports, the developer Hideo Kojima and the director Guillermo Del Toro, are working together on the upcoming game. A report by Metro.co.uk said that the game is being developed with the intent to scare everyone who plays it, within reason.
The article reads, "The one thing that I can say about Silent Hills, and this is something I've been discussing with Guillermo del Toro as well, is that originally we were thinking of making a game that would make you pee your pants, but at this point we've changed our minds, and now we're aiming for a game that will make you s*** your pants."
It goes on to add, "One thing that you have to keep in mind is that, if a game is too scary, people just won't play it. If it [film or show] gets too scary you just keep your eyes shut and soon it will be over. But if it's a game, people will just stop. So that's why there's a limit on how scary you can make a game."
Earlier, just known as "P.T.," the name of the game was officially changed to "Silent Hills" at Gamescom 2014 with a view to surprise the fans.
Although Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro are the creator and director of this horror game, Norman Reedus, who portrays the character of Daryl Dixon in the AMC series 'The Walking Dead', will be cast as the main role in the 'Silent Hill' story.
