Steam has just opened up the door for 'Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth' pre-orders, which will be available for download on October 24, 2014.

Players can pre-order a regular copy of the new title for $49.99 on the Steam client or purchase the Classics Bundle for $69.99. The latter includes 'Civilization III Complete', 'Civilization IV', 'Civilization V' and the new 'Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth'

Gamers who are not familiar with the new addition to the series will be excited to learn that the new title has adopted a science-fiction theme to the classic 'Civilization' style gameplay.

Certain new features will come about in this game that have not been seen before in any of the Sid Meier titles.

Part of the official description for the game reads, "As part of an expedition sent to find a home beyond Earth, you will write the next chapter for humanity as you lead your people into a new frontier and create a new civilization in space."

Even though many gamers are eagerly awaiting the new 'Civ' title, some fans are not so anxious. Many feel that the game will not be patched up and fixed, and launch with many bugs and flaws upon its launch. The reason for this line of thinking, is that when 'Civilization 5' first released, it came with thoset types of problems.

A user on Reddit had this to say when learning about the new Steam 'Civ 6' pre-orders, "Civilization 5 was a complete disaster on launch, it had no functional AI, no semblance of balancing, it was crash prone and it clearly was missing features."
