Shia LaBeouf Court Case News: Actor Charged Post Cabaret Incident

Shia LaBeouf, known for his role in the 'Transformers' film franchise, appeared in Manhattan criminal court this morning, Thursday, July 24. The actor faces charges over an incident last June at a Broadway 'Cabaret' performance.

LaBeouf is charged with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and harassment. All of this stems from his behavior during the Broadway show. He was arrested after allegedly disrupting the show mid-performance, and the claims against him also say that he was spitting at the police officers who were attempting to remove him from the venue.

His attorney, G. Robert Gage Jr., and New York Assistant District Attorney Ali Russell were there to represent him. A decision was made together, as they requested an adjournment from the court, asking the judge to allow them to make efforts toward "a possible resolution" for the charges.

Shia LaBeouf's demeanor within the courtroom was not like many other celebrities put in similar positions. He arrived thirty minutes early, even before the courtroom doors had opened. After entering the courtroom, he shook Russell's hand, and sat in the third row surrounded by his advisers.

While he didn't speak during his court appearance, he looked relativity uncomfortable. The actor kept his head down and panned the room with eyes every now and then. The adjournment took less than five minutes to grant, as officers helped Shia make a quick exit. Refusing to address the media or answer any questions, Shia LaBeouf, successfully dodged the press.
