"Sherlock" season 4 is fast approaching and it is revealed that "Harry Potter" actor Toby Jones is set to be the show's newest villain, presumably playing the role of a German Spy.

BBC confirmed that "Harry Potter" and "The Secret Agent" star Jones is set to be part of its upcoming "Sherlock" season 4. In a statement, as cited by the network, Jones said that he was excited and intrigued by the character he should be playing in the show.

Jones' statement is at par with the thoughts of "Sherlock" co-creator, executive producer, and writer duo Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss. In an interview with the network, Moffat said that he was delighted to have Jones on board to bring back to life one of Doyle's finest villains.

In the same interview, Gatiss said that he and Moffat were excited to welcome one of the finest actors to the Sherlock family, adding that he knew that Jones would embrace the part with true relish.

As for Jones' role in "Sherlock" season 4, Jones is rumored to play the role of a German spy from the United Kingdom. As per Crave Online, the "Harry Potter" actor might wear the shoes of Heinrich Von Bork, a German spy during World War I and one of Britain's outstanding operatives.

Jones may also play the role of Hugo Oberstein in "Sherlock" season 4. As per Christian Times, the character is also a German spy based in London and one of Britain's best foreign agents.

Aside from "Harry Potter," Jones is also known for his roles in "Captain America: The First Avenger," "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," and "The Hunger Games."
