Rumors have spread around the Internet that people behind Sherlock Season 3 were planning on shooting a Christmas special episode. Producer Sue Vertue killed fans hopes when she took to Twitter to deny the rumor. As for other rumors and spoilers, here's a roundup of all the speculation buzzing around the Web.

The man question most fans want answered is when Sherlock Season 3 will premiere. Initially some time in October was the planned air date, now it's looking like it won't be back until November. BBC recently announced post-production would be ongoing until then.

Sherlock cast member Martin Freeman said Season 3 might be pushed back as late as January 2014.

Regardless of the air date, fans can be happy knowing the show is getting picked up for a fourth season. Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays Sherlock Holmes, accidentally spilled the beans about new episodes.

"All I know at the moment is I'm doing these three [episodes of the upcoming series] and another three."

As for plot spoilers, a lot of fans are wondering how Sherlock faked his own death and stayed in hiding. Freeman, who plays Watson said everything was in plain sight, it's just up to the viewer to pay attention.

All the clues were on screen. It's not going to be a cheat -- everything that we saw on that final episode offers hints as to how he did it," Freeman told Radio Times.

But what brings Sherlock out of hiding. Rumors indicate Watson's new marriage to Mary Moirstan compels the detective out of the shadows.
