As 'Sharknado 2: The Second One' premiered in theaters, July 30, some fans are amazed at what they saw, while others are just confused. The new 'Sharknado' title received mixed reviews, but some fans are still left wondering about a third addition to the series.

The good news is, that a third film has been recently confirmed by SyFy Network. A page on their website says, "Coming in summer 2015, another city will be devoured by flying sharks when the new Original Movie Sharknado 3 premieres. But which city will it be......"

When confronting the star of the two 'Sharknado' films, Ian Ziering had this to say about a third film, "They've green-lit Sharknado 3 if the numbers come back for Sharknado 2 in the 18-49 demographic. If they are anything like what I'm expecting, then SyFy will just make this a summer event."

He added that "Because it's a television movie they can turn these around pretty quickly. It doesn't make sense as a series, but as a summer event they'll have a year of hype to build up to it and as long as the fans continue to want it ... Syfy will continue to bring it," Ziering mentioned.

While there is no official release date for the new movie, fans can probably rest assured that they will be seeing Ian Ziering in the movie again, as he was not killed off in the second one. As for the city that the 'Sharknado' will take place in, that remains a mystery.
