The successful screening and debut of the movie, The Fault in Our Stars, had fans and followers wishing that the stars of the film, Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort, were dating in real life. The two clicked as on-screen lovers, which has sparked rumors that the two have taken their relationship off-screen.

Interviews show that the two young stars had an instant connection while shooting the movie.

"We have such deep reverence and pride for one another. We're completely different in almost every way, but are very intrigued by each other's differences, so when Fault came around, there was a fault in Hazel and Augustus's stars, but there wasn't a fault in our stars because we had that deep respect for one another," said Woodley in a recent interview.

There was no awkward feeling from having a brother and sister role in their previous movie Divergent, to on screen couple in The Fault in Our Stars. Both just had a laugh about it.

"It wasn't that weird because I've always sort of wondered what it'd be like kissing my brother," Woodley joked.

It was natural for Woodley and Elgort to develop a special relationship being in two succeeding movies.

"There's something really beautiful about working with someone and working with them again and again and again, because the more you get to know somebody on a personal level, the more free you feel artistically. I think that if Ansel and I hadn't known each other from Divergent, our relationship in this movie would not be what it is, because we didn't have to go through the rehearsal phase of getting to know one another, becoming comfortable with one another," Woodley explained.

However, rumors about Elgort dating Woodley may be off, as some reports have suggested that Elgort is actually in a relationship already.
