Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez: Instagram 'Self-Cleanse' Sees Taylor Swift, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner Deleted [VIDEO]

Selene Gomez has taken a huge leap of faith by unfollowing Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, and Kendall and Kylie Jenner on Instagram.

The controversial on-and-off couple - Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez - were inseparable at the Coachella Festival a week prior to Easter Sunday. Gomez was also seen arrived together with the Jenner siblings after she visited Bieber in his Miami recording studio a few days after.

The 21-year-old pop star spent two weeks of rehabilitation in January, with some claiming her relationship with Bieber was at least partly to blame.

Her decision to undergo a "friends cleanse" over social media was thought to be a part of her self-cure after a series of negative publicity she suffered last year.

Hours after deleting friends online, she also decided to ditch Reese Witherspoon, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Benson. At the moment it is unclear what the specific motivation of Gomez was in deleting many of her friends on social media, and perhaps only Gomez knows entirely what she's trying to do.

Taylor Swift is known as Gomez's best friend. Rumor has it that Swift gave the fellow singer a "him or me" ultimatum, possibly leading to the end of their friendship. Gomez also reportedly took down photos of her together with the Jenners after they spent some time at Indio, California a week ago.

Gomez and Bieber started dating in 2010 and have since endured several breakups. Witnesses reported that the two were dancing slow and "whispering to each other, laughing, [and] standing close together while being surrounded by four bodyguards backstage" during Bieber's surprise appearance to an act with Chance the Rapper on April 20.
