Selena Gomez 'Getaway' New Trailer Release Date Aug 2013, Bieber Ex-Girlfriend Stars with Ethan Hawke (VIDEO)

Selena Gomez is keeping her movie acting career in full swing with the upcoming movie Getaway. Gomez starred in Spring Breakers earlier this year which fans got to see her in a more 'mature' role.

Fans are getting to see the new side of the 21-year-old again in this latest action drama movie starring alongside Ethan Hawke.

From just viewing the trailers, Getaway is in the same vein as the popular Taken movies with a kidnapping being the focal point of the movie. However, Hawke is a race car driver that adds a different level of action to the movie and gives it a Fast & Furious type feel with the car scenes.

Here is the official storyline:

Getaway is the gritty, heart-pounding action thriller from Warner Bros. Pictures and Dark Castle Entertainment in which former race car driver Brent Magna (Ethan Hawke) is pitted against the clock. Desperately trying to save the life of his kidnapped wife, Brent commandeers a custom Shelby Cobra Mustang, taking it and its unwitting owner (Selena Gomez) on a high-speed race against time, at the command of the mysterious villain holding his wife hostage.

Getaway opens to theaters on August 30 and could have stiff competition with the younger crowd as One Direction's movie comes out the same weekend. 

Getaway is a Warner Bros. film that was directed by Courtney Solomon.
