Controversial singer and actress Selena Gomez was involved in a minor accident on Sunday, August 3, while she was trying to pull out of a 7/11 parking lot in Los Angeles following a lunch date with her friends.

The 22-year-old singer accidentally hit another car while she was backing up in her black BMW SUV, causing damage to the vehicle's bumper and her SUV's rear end. Both vehicles only sustained minor damages and according to reports, Gomez had informed the owner of the other vehicle that she was at fault for the accident. With her friend, Francia Raisa the were able able to amicably settle the matter with him, therefore extinguishing the need to book the incident with the authorities.

After the accident, the 'Wizards of Waverly Place' star took to Twitter to express her frustration over the paparazzi surrounding her during the incident, putting the blame for the mishap squarely on her and her friends.

Gomez was seen partying with her friends the night before at the West Hollywood Abbey bar, while her famous ex, pop star Justin Bieber was spotted cozying up to 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star Kendall Jenner at Riccardo Tisci's birthday bash.

Recently, the former Disney star was also dragged into another controversy when her former beau, Justin Bieber, reportedly started a brawl with 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star Orlando Bloom, whom she was also romantically linked with. It remains unclear, however, what caused Bieber's latest outburst. Although rumors claim that the fight was allegedly over Bloom's ex, supermodel Miranda Kerr, both parties have decided to remain silent on the matter.
