Selena Gomez Album Update News: 'Good For You' Singer Sheds Light on Her Next Album

Pop singer Selena Gomez has set a date for her newest album, which will be her first release since her 2013 album, Stars Dance. Based on her most recent release, "Good For You", which featured A$AP Rocky, fans believe that the album will showcase a brand new side of Gomez.

The album, which is entitled Revival, will give fans a chance to see "the rebirth of Selena", according to the singer. It will be released on October 9th.

On last week Tuesday, Gomez dropped a few hints about the project through her Instagram, which left her fans bother exciting and bursting with anticipation, and slightly confused.

However, the star's representatives have confirmed that Revival will be her next album, based on a report from Entertainment Weekly.

Gomez was interviewed by Ryan Seacrest in June.

During the interview, the singer stated that the record has been influenced to some extent by her extremely high profile break up with her ex, Justin Bieber, but she adds that it is about her new confidence more than anything.

"I'm becoming a young woman and I'm comfortable with my sensuality," said Gomez. "It's just kind of not try-hard. It's just perfect. I think to me that was exactly what I want people to see for the next chapter for me. I'm very confident in this record and you can hear it. But I'm vulnerable, I'm real, and I think it just shows a different side of me, and I'm really excited, and I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders."
