See Who Advanced to the Top 8 on American Idol Tonight!

Jimmy Iovine again critiqued the performances of the contestants on American Idol tonight.  Here is what he had to say about Angie tonight, "She is too dramatic (as a performer), but so talented.  There is something wrong and we have to fix it, if she does, she could be the next American Idol.

Casey Abrams (Season 10) also gave a guest performance of, "I saw her standing there" by The Beatles with a jazz lounge feel.  Abrams played an upright bass while singing and judge Keith Urban gave him a standing ovation at the end of his performance.

Jessica Sanchez also performed her new song, "Tonight" with special guest Neo.  I personally felt the song lacked uniqueness to it and just sounded like everything else out right now.  The words didn't seem to lack any depth either, which isn't surprising, just pointing it out.

Last night all the contestants sang songs by The Beatles.  Here are the contestants that made it into the Top 8 along with the song they sang to advance last night.

Janelle Arthur advanced singing, "I Will".

Kree Harrison advanced singing, "With A Little Help From My Friends".

Candice Glover advanced rocked out, "Come Together".

Burnell Taylor advanced performing, "Let It Be".

Amber Holcomb advanced singing, "She's Leaving Home".

Devin Velez advanced performing, "The Long and Winding Road".

Angie Miller advanced singing, "Yesterday".

Lazaros Arbos advanced performing, "In my Life".

Paul Jolley sang, "Eleanor Rigby" last night but was the one sent home tonight with no save from the judges.

Tune in to American Idol on Fox next Wednesday to see the Top 8 perform for a chance to make it into the Top 7!
