See "The Bible" Cast Speak on The Series & It's Impact (VIDEO)
With "The Bible" series on The History Channel becoming the highest rated show of the year on cable tv, the buzz is at an all time high while going into the final episode on Easter. In their first national television interview together, they sit down with ABC to discuss the impact and their roles on the show before the final episode airs.
The four being interviewed in the clip above are (from left to right) Roma Downey (Mary and co-producer), Diogo Morgado (Jesus), Sharon Duncan-Brewster (Samson's mother) and Darwin Shaw (Peter).
Roma talks about revamping "The Bible" series to make it more visually stunning for todays generation as well as bring in actors that could really get into the role of the people they were portraying.
Diogo speaks on the overwhelming responsibility of playing Jesus and also trending on twitter as #hotjesus to which he got embarrassed.
Producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey intentionally picked actors who would do a great job but were not well known in the U.S. as to not have people focusing on the actors but on the people they were portraying.
As we all know, the final episode entitled "Passion" aired on Easter Sunday and was incredibly well done. Many are sad to see the series come to an end. They way that they brought the stories back to life in a new visual way has inspired millions of people Christians and non-Christians a like.
