"Scandal" season 5 may provide a new love interest for President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn).

Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington), knew that their relationship could never work out; thus telling the President that they should just call it quits. President Grant's world suddenly came tumbling down on him as it happened. The President is also unaware that Olivia got an abortion.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor himself said that his character is not in a good state. Without the support of his friends and colleagues, who knows what could happen to the President at such a devastating time?

It is likely that the show will pick up where it left off. Fans will definitely follow a story of how a leader would try to pick himself up and apply self-leadership on himself after losing his love interest.

To lighten things up, there are other possibilities that might happen. The official synopsis of the next episode isn't out yet. Maybe we could probably see them work things out; one way or another. 

We are not certain on the reaction of President Fitz when he finds out about the abortion. It may trigger extreme emotions considering that the President just lost his son. That is definitely one scene that people shouldn't miss.

Will we see him battle through adversity or will we see him tumble on a downward spiral? Will there be a new love interest for President Fitz or will he just shut down emotionally? The 10th episode of "Scandal" will return on February 11, 2016 on ABC.
