'Scandal' Season 3, Episode 8 "Vermont Is for Lovers, Too" ABC Recap

"Scandal", Episode 8, "Vermont Is for Lovers, Too" aired last night as Olivia gets her dream come true with Fitz, and surprises just seem to be rolling out. As the show began, we are introduced to Olivia's supposed dead mother, Maya, who seems to be either troubled by something or in detrimental danger by the way Rowan Pope treats her. It is very unclear what happened on Flight 196 and what exactly Maya did for Pope to be so incredibly irritated at her for asking for anything. Maya is asking to see Olivia before she is transported to somewhere completely unknown, when Rowan refuses to meet her needs. In doing so, Maya chews to the main artery in her wrist and is landed in the 'dungeon' hospital.

Back at Olivia's office, Quinn is beginning her day at work with the Gladiators as a member of B613 and is cautious of people finding out what she did. The gladiators first case of the day is the murder that Quinn committed and Huck is on a mission to unravel the suspects face that was caught reflecting in a mirror. The reflection is none other than Quinn. Meanwhile, Fitz is trying to get ahold of Olivia as she refuses to answer his phone calls. Sending one of his bodyguards, Olivia is flown out to Vermont to meet the President. Rowan arrives at the hospital with clippings of Olivia hoping that that would be enough to have Maya back in order. Yet, she soon learns that Rowan hasn't been a father figure to Olivia and becomes distressed over the news. Olivia is at the meeting spot with Fitz as they began to fight and he tell's her all that she wanted to hear. The house the two of them are standing in is actually her and Fitz house. He made it for them and their children, and that it was supposd to be their 'happily ever after' home. Olivia obviously breaks downs and stays the night. As they said their goodbyes that next morning, the President warned Olvia that he would stop at nothing to have her father brought to justice, as she politely and fiercly gave her blessing to do so.

Episode 8, "Vermont Is for Lovers, Too" ended with a bang as Quinn arrives home to a picture of the pixelated reflection of herself in the window with Huck waiting for her on her couch. Beside her, the table is filled with instruments used for torture and Huck is ready for answers. Olivia heads home from a lovely night with Fitz as she hears her name being called out from the shadows. She turns around and Maya is standing right in front of her.  Episode 9, "YOLO"  aires on Dec. 5 as things are literally blowing up. Make sure to watch the trailer for the next episode below.
