Sarah Michelle Gellar News: Actress Talks Raising Kids With Freddie Prinze Jr. & More
Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar recently opened up about how she is raising her kids with husband and actor Freddie Prinze Jr. Apparently, the two have a certain strategy in parenting their children that teaches the young ones how to be independent and to be respectful in society.
Talk about the ultimate parenting advice ever. Gellar, an actress a full time mother and a business woman as well recently sat down with E! News to promote her upcoming children's fashion line and when it comes to children, she has a lot to talk about like on how she raises her children with Prinze.
The married couple apparently "split everything pretty fairly," she told E! News explaining "I mean, I think that that's how you have to raise children today, as you want them to be independent and want them to see in our society that there is no difference between men and women and go from there."
The actress goes on to share one hilarious instance between her and Prinze since the two are so hands on with everything at home, Gellar shared the funny when she said "He wants to know when we're buying our Trapper Keepers," Gellar recalled. "I was like, 'Sweetheart, you're old, we don't have Trapper Keepers anymore.' We're showing our age."
Meanwhile, Gellar promoted her upcoming Crazy 8 line which are clothes for children and will be in stores this August 14. "I think the fact that it's, first of all, so incredibly on trend because younger and younger kids are exposed through social media to what's fashionable and they really care about that," she said.
The actress also explained how much she considered the price for the items in her line. "I care about my wallet," she added. "I like it to stay on the thicker rather than the thinner side. For me to be able to have clothing where almost everything is under $20, at the rate that they grow, is extremely appreciated-and on top of that, they take into consideration what the parents want. Yeah sure, crop tops might be in, but I don't want my child necessarily going out in a crop top. Being able to translate what's fashionable into what's appropriate and so that both mom and child are happy, I think is really important."
