While rumors about Hollywood celebrities and their breaks ups constantly make headlines, A-list celebrity couple, Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker, seem to be an exception.

In his recent guest appearance on the 'Meredith Vieira Show', Broderick revealed his very simple but effective secret to his lasting marriage with the 'Sex and the City' actress. "We really are friends beyond everything else and we talk a lot," Broderick said when asked about his successful marriage.

Broderick even gave advice to other couples that according to him is a cliché, but is quite effective. "Keep talking I guess, I know how cliché that is. Too much silence is definitely not a good idea," he said.

It would seem that Broderick still adores his wife after more than a decade of marriage. Apparently, SJP keep her husband happy by making him laugh. "She"s really funny, she makes me laugh. That's good. I wish I had a better answer," Broderick said.

The happily married couple also has three wonderful kids that they enjoy being with. In a previous red carpet interview with SJP at the premiere of Broderick's play 'It's Only a Play', she talked about the special bond the pair has with their children.

Their oldest child, James Wilkie, 11 according to his mother Parker was disappointed that he couldn't make it to his dad's premiere."On his own he decided his science and math homework was more important. He was offered the opportunity and he said, 'I'm sad to miss it because I'd love to cause a controversy if I get the chance to be interviewed'," SJP revealed.

It is indeed a great marriage, as fans hope that the two will spend many more happy years together.
