'Miss Congeniality' actress Sandra Bullock said the media is a little late to the party concerning the status of her relationship with 'Captain America' star Chris Evans.

"You guys are a little behind," she told Entertainment Tonight. "We've since married and it started breaking apart, so we separated. We filed for divorce, and I hope everyone can respect our privacy."

"But we're going to remain friends and share responsibility of the farm animals we've taken on, because you just can't abandon the animals," she added.

The dating rumors started early this year when they were seen dining out in West Hollywood.

The rumors also sparked when Evans told Playboy that he has adored the actress for many years. He even admitted that he had pictures of Bullock on his bedroom wall when he was just a teenager.

"I used to be in love with Sandra Bullock when I was growing up. Sandy B. was my girl. I remember seeing 'Speed' when I was in seventh grade and just thinking, 'That's her,'" he said.

However, a source said that the duo is making their way back to becoming an item again, according to Fashion&Style.

"They are not in a relationship, but they are definitely hanging out and are in the early getting-to-know-each-other phase," said the source, "They haven't put a title on it, but they really like each other."
