ABC's "Scandal" Episode 7, 'Everything's Come Up Mellie' started with Mellie having a flashback to Santa Barbara,California 15-years ago when her and Fitz were happy. Olivia and Fitz share a short phone call as she tells him that she must know everything about him before they can continue any further. Unable to answer her question, Olivia brings her team together to start on a new client, her mother.

Mellie is being filmed around the whitehouse to represent the 'American family' when she has to continue to sell Fitz and their supposed love for one another to the cameras. Olivia's team is beginning to dig deeper when they find detrimental information about the plane crash, and that someone switched the planes passengers numbers. Another flashback happens when Fitz finds himself fighting with his father, Big Jerry, about joining the Navy and the plane crash that involved Olivia's mother. Olivia's team gets closer as they are able to track down the gatekeeper for the plane crash. Once they speak to her, they realize that a man was court-marshalled and pulled off the plane at the very last minute. 

Flashback to fifteen years ago and Mellie is trying to calm down Big Jerry after he and Fitz fought about the Navy. As Big Jerry begins to drink heavily, he admits that Fitz shot the plane down and is in charge for the 300 people deaths. Unexpectedly, Big Jerry rapes Mellie and may or may not be the cause of their first child. Episode 7, "Everything's Come Up Mellie" ends with Fitz and Mellie going on national TV coming together as a married couple and standing up for one another. Mellie tells Fitz that she is glad he made the right decision in the interview to stand up for her, when he tell's her that he meant every word and he is ready to move forward. Just as Episode 7 ends, part of Olivia's team joins B613, when Pope's father goes to a clearence only building where he then has a talk with Olivia's very alive mother. Episode 8, "Vermont is for  Lovers, Too" previews Olivia's mother demanding to see her. Watch the trailer below!
