Sanctus Real Releases New Album “Run” Matt Hammitt's Son Has Heart Condition, Tour Bus Fire

Tuesday, February 5, marks the official release date of Sanctus Real's new album Run, lead by the debut single "Promises."

"Promises is a song that came out of a simple word of encouragement that a friend of mine gave me when my son Bowen was diagnosed with his heart condition," said Sanctus Real singer/songwriter Matt Hammitt in an interview with Christian radio station K-LOVE. "He used to always say to me, 'cling to the promises.' It's such a simple thing, but it always reminds me to dig into God's word and hold on to the promises of God with all my heart."

"Promises" peaked at #21 onBillboard's Christian Adult Contemporary chart and #15 on Billboard's Christian CHR chart and was written by Mark Graalman, Matt Hammitt, Pete Prevost and Chris Rohman.

The success of the song, released October 9, was a welcome relief following a tragic summer during which the Sanctus Real's tour bus caught fire, destroying many of the band members'personal belongings. Thankfully - and as a testament to God's promises and faithfulness - no individuals were harmed.

To celebrate the release of Run, Sanctus Real is offering special merchandise bundles for fans. An autographed copy of the CD, plus a limited edition Run sticker and t-shirt is retailing for $25. For you $15 fans can purchase the sticker and autographed CD. And for those just interested in the music, the album can be purchased alone for just $10.
