The Cardinals continues their battle in the NLCS when they face the Giants in their forthcoming match between the two best teams in the National League.

Meanwhile, Giants veteran hurler Jake Peavy (15-10, 2.74) will attempt to shutdown Cardinals relentless squad in the second game of the 2014 NLCS.
The Giants are looking to eventually eliminate St. Louis in the best-of-seven series in the National League Championship Series.

"It's been a remarkable journey. I wouldn't trade it for the world," said Pence to reporters. "If it was easy, it wouldn't be as fun."
Giants first baseman Brandon Belt revealed his thoughts about the similarities between his club and the squad from the 'Show Me State'.
"They remind me a lot of us," said Belt to reporters, "They've had a lot of success in the postseason."
