The Spurs look to extend their incredible winning streak to 18 when they battle a worthy opponent tonight, the Indiana Pacers. The Spurs recently defeated the New Orleans Pelicans by the final score of 96-80 on Saturday. Marco Belinelli scored 18 points to lead the Spurs to the victory. The Spurs are currently leading the Oklahoma City Thunder by 3 games for the top record in the NBA.

"It is sweet to be a part of that," said Spurs player Manu Ginobili to reporters after the game. "It is not something that happens very often because it is a long spread of game, a month or two. Here or there you have a bad game or the opponent has a bad one, but a lot of things have combined for us to have this type of streak. We played really well and we are healthy."

However, The Pacers have not been playing as well as they have for most of the 2013-2014 NBA season. The Pacers are currently on a 2 game losing streak. The Pacers were recently defeated by the Cleveland Cavaliers by the final score of 90-76 yesterday. Paul George scored 15 points in a losing effort for the Pacers.

"We can't figure out a way to perform better," said pacers player David West to reporters. We've had team meetings. We've had players-only meetings. We've had players and the coaches [meetings]. We're kind of looking for answers right now, and things don't get any easier."
