Samsung Gear Fit 2 Leaked News, Specs Rumors: Battery Life Drains? IconX Buds Confirmed?

Leaked news and specs of the Samsung Gear Fit 2 hinted of the presence of IconX buds, which was patented by the South Korean company earlier this year.

Details of IconX remains under wraps, but Venture Beat said that the IconX buds is resistant to both water and dust, and serves as a music player as well as a fitness tracker.

"Touch control is said to work similarly to the Gear Circle, another Bluetooth headset, but one whose earbuds are tethered to a controller that sits on the back of the neck," the report said.

The rumored specs for the Samsung Gear Fit 2 revealed that it will come with a 1.84-inch AMOLED touch screen. The curved and ergonomic design was only slightly tweaked.

But there's no word yet on the real-time operating system, which was one of the biggest issues in the original device back in 2014, particularly on the timing of the sensors, apart from the battery life.

Speaking of battery life, the leaked specs for the Samsung Gear Fit 2 hinted of GPS capability, which really doesn't bode well for the wearer who left the charger at home.

"The rumored big new feature in the Fit 2 will be a GPS unit, a feature usually found on more running-focused wearables, and notorious for being a serious battery hog," said Yahoo Tech

Current leaks and rumors didn't say anything about the price for the Samsung Gear Fit 2, as well as whether consumers will buy the watch with the IconX buds as a package, or separately.
