Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date & Specs Rumors: Launched at 2015 Mobile World Congress?

New rumors have emerged saying Samsung Galaxy S6 is going to be launched in Barcelona at the 2015 Mobile World Congress in the first week of March.

Apparently Samsung's latest flagship phone, the Galaxy S6, stands a chance to be release before or after the MWC, which will be held on March 2 and run until March 5.

There is no official word yet from the Korean-based manufacturer, but after the previous launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Samsung is now due to release their smartphone next.

While Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6's predecessor, has a 5.1-inch screen that displays 1080p resolution, Stuff reported that the Galaxy S6 is likely matches its current competitor's specifications with a 2K resolution screen; which is 2560 x 1400 pixels.

The Galaxy S6 will sport either a Snapdragon 808 or the Snapdragon 810 as its processor, both are 64-bit capable, and stem from Qualcomm.

Either processor is capable of optimizing a 4GB RAM capacity that will get along with the phone's 32 or 64GB speculated variants.

It is speculated that the Galaxy S6 will use a 20MP camera sensor, although it's not yet clear if the camera will include the Optical Image stabilization.

Samsung has been looking into more features to add to their flagship phones and has come up with developing their biometrics analysis.

Biometric authentication in mobile devices consist of a fingerprint scanner, which Samsung first adopted the feature with its Galaxy S5.

"We're looking at various types of biometric [mechanisms] and one of things that everybody is looking at is iris detection," Rhee In-jong, Samsung's senior vice president, previously said during a forum in Hong Kong in May.
