Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date, Specs Rumors Latest: MWC 2015 To Launch New Flagship Model?

Even as the release date of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is drawing closer, tech enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the release of the next flagship phone from the Korean tech titan's Galaxy line - the Galaxy S6.

As far as the release of the Galaxy S6 is concerned, Samsung has always been on point with releases and since the Galaxy S2, the company has made it a practice to release its flagship phones during or just prior to the Mobile World Congress.

As of now, the MWC 2015 will be held between March 2 and 5 and it is likely that the Galaxy S6 will launch at the event.

While the release of the Galaxy S6 still pretty far away, details and even few rumors about the smartphone have been emerging gradually.

It seems that Samsung will be continuing with the super AMOLED screen for the Galaxy S6 because there is still no indication that the company will be changing up what has been working. Also, the screen resolution of the upcoming device is likely to get an upgrade, even as the company has already released an S5 LTE-A along with a 2560 x 1440 resolution in South Korea.

Speculation is rife that Samsung may possibly go ahead with 4K resolution displays directly. However, it is still not known whether the company will be implementing the technology with the Galaxy S6. In any case, if it does so, there may also be an increase in processor speed.

For a QHD display, the Galaxy S6 would only be requiring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808. On the other hand, in case Samsung decides to go ahead with the 4K display, it is likely that the Galaxy S6 would require a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.
