Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date, Specs, Price Rumors: Higher Res. Display Similar to LG G3

With the recent release of the Samsung Galaxy S5, many would think that a new smart phone would be a long time coming, but this is not the case with Samsung, or Apple for that matter.

A Galaxy S6 is already in the works, roughly nine months away from its release. Rumors and speculations about its pricing and specs are already circulating around the Internet.

The release date won't be until 2015, but some reports are already out with the Galaxy S6's possible features and specifications. One such report is the S6 sporting a higher resolution screen similar to LG's recently released G3 going at 2560x1440p QHD.

For the release date, it won't be clarified until the company's dedicated press conference next year in March.

The new S6 is said to be in direct competition with Apple's upcoming iPhone 6. This isn't surprising as the two companies have been trying to create better smartphones to outdo their competitors.

The S6 is reportedly has a bigger screen with QHD screen technology. Although the company could have gone with an even higher resolution screen for the S6, it is too early to put it into development.

The new phone to succeed the S5 is speculated to have a faster processor this time to support the QHD resolution. Qualcomm already has a 64-bit six-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor waiting for the S6.

Samsung's flagship phone goes up in price with each succeeding version. Currently, the Galaxy S5 goes for almost $1000. It would be safe to assume that the Galaxy S6 will not be any cheaper.
