Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date: Set For March 2015 Launch, Likely To Have Curved Body, Longer Battery Life

The release date of the next handset of the Samsung Galaxy S series - the Samsung Galaxy S6 is set for March 2015.

The highly-anticipated smartphone will certainly pose as stiff competition to the rival upcoming handsets, including Apple's iPhone 6, Sony Xperia Z3 and Google Nexus 3, and at the same time appeal to the consumers and critics equally.

Unlike the previous models from the Korean tech titan, Galaxy S6 will not only have a premium feel, but come in an aluminium body, whose entire structure is tough. Furthermore, the device will be water proof as well as dust proof. It will also introduce a new technology that prevents batteries from overheating.

Galaxy S6 will come with a 5.2-inch display screen along with 2K Super AMOLED. The upcoming Samsung flagship smartphone will also have two stereo speakers fitted on the sides.

Inside, the sixth-generation Galaxy S will be powered by a 64 bit octa-core processor. It will sport a 20.5MP ISOCELL camera, 3500mAh battery, 5G, CMOS sensor, and fingerprint scanner. As far as the internal storage of the device is concerned, Galaxy S6 will be available in two variants - 128GB and 256GB.

The upcoming device from Samsung is also expected to include a 20MP rear camera, 4-7 front camera, and 64GB of internal memory. The phone will have a substantial battery life span, wireless charging, and probably a flexible or curved glass display.

Interestingly enough, the upcoming smartphones of all major companies, including the iPhone 6, are likely to have either a curved body, supple body or more or less a frameless screen.
