Samsung Galaxy S5 Android 4.4.4 Update: Release Could Be Delayed, or Skipped for Android L

While Android 4.4.4 KitKat has already rolled out on a number of handsets, users of the Samsung Galaxy S5 are still waiting for their chance to upgrade.

Users of various smartphones, including the Galaxy S5, are beginning to complain that they have not been given the opportunity to download and install the latest 4.4.4 KitKat version. However, in light of all the commentary, it seems as though the update will be rolled out on various handsets relatively soon.

Initially, Galaxy S5 users were told that they would be receiving the new Android update on their smartphones in June, however, that has evidently not happened. While there is no official release date set for the second attempt at a KitKat 4.4.4 roll out, users have been speculating sometime in September.

On a positive note, Epoch Times reports that the next countries that will be availing the 4.4.4 update will be Argentina, Hong Kong and Hungary. However, there is no date tied to the release of the OS in those countries.

If the new version is not rolled out on the Galaxy S5 sometime soon, there is a chance that Samsung is simply waiting for the Android L to come out. Rumors say that skipping the KitKat 4.4.4 for the Android L has serious potential.
