Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Release Date Update: AT&T Reveals Subscription Offers
On Nov. 7, AT&T started taking pre-orders for Samsung Galaxy Note Edge in order to prepare for the debut of the curvy smartphone from the South Korean tech titan in the United States. In fact, AT&T was the first network carrier in the U.S to accept pre-orders for this device.
After the launch of the Galaxy Note 4 last month, Samsung is now geared to release the Galaxy Note Edge. In a recent interview with CNN Money, AT&T Senior Vice-President (Mobile Devices), Jeff Bradley described his company's Galaxy Note Edge offers.
According to Bradley, AT&T is delighted to carry Samsung's latest product line, particularly because the Galaxy Note Edge is highly functional. In addition, the curved screen of the device might bring about some extra customers as it certainly provides the devices its unique appeal.
Bradley said, "The customizable edge display provides you easy access to your news, notifications and favorite apps, with the ability to continue your activities on your main screen."
The Galaxy Note Edge is a limited edition smartphone which sports a 5.6-inch Quad+ HD Super AMOLED touchscreen wrapped around the device to produce a second screen. The device is powered by a 2.7 GHz quad-core CPU with 3 GB RAM and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. The device has 32 GB internal storage and comes with a powerful 16-megapixel autofocus rear camera and a 3.7-megapixel secondary front-facing camera.
AT&T will carry the Galaxy Note Edge for $399 and come with a two-year contract. If you wish to buy the device without a contract, the device will cost $945.99. Subscribers can pay the amount in installments via AT&T's "Next 18," which comes to a payment of $22.92 per month, or "Next 12," which costs buyers roughly $27.50 per month. The Galaxy Note Edge is a stylish smartphone that can be acquired in two color options - Charcoal Black or Frost White.
Apart from AT&T, other U.S network carriers also have plans to market the Galaxy Note Edge soon. According to reports, T-Mobile will offer the device for a zero down payment with a $36.25 monthly fee for 24 months. On the other hand, Sprint is also reported to offer the device without any down payment plan, but consumers will have pay $35 a month for 24 months.
