Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Update News: Leaks From Sprint Website Reveals Complete Specifications
Even as the release of the much-anticipated devices Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus are set for Aug. 12, new leaks of the upcoming handsets from the South Korean tech giant reveal key configuration details about the two devices.
According to IB Times, the most important question being asked by potential buyers of the Galaxy Note 5 is whether the device will come with a microSD card slot. Incidentally, Samsung's flagship smartphones Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge do not come with this expandable storage option. Until now, the various leaks and rumors relating to the Note 5 have not provided a clear picture of what the potential buyers and fans can expect in this regard.
However, now, a leak quoting a user-agent profile of a smartphone, related to the model number SM-N920P, has emerged. Unsurprisingly, Sprint has now taken down the profile page. According to Phone Arena, this smartphone model is believed to be the Note 5, specific to the carrier Sprint.
This user-agent profile from the official website of Sprint has revealed several specifications pertaining to the Galaxy Note 5. According to the post in Sprint website, the successor of the Galaxy Note 4 will come with a microSDXC card slot. In addition, the expansion limit is reported to be up to 128 GB. The upcoming handset will also sport a Quad HD screen resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels and the same Super AMOLED display technology.
It is also expected that the Galaxy Note 5 will be powered by Qualcomm's latest MDM9635M chip along with "9x35" Gobi modem. This chipset supports Cat. 6 LTE capabilities, ensuring faster data transfer speed. According to Phone Arena, the hardware of the device will include an octa-core Samsung Exynos 7422 SoC processor. Moreover, the upcoming phablet will be backed by 3 GB of RAM configuration.
According to latest reports, the Galaxy Note 5 will be equipped with 32 GB of internal memory storage capacity. On the camera front, the device boasts a unique 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, along with to a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies and video chat.
It is worth mentioning here that the user agent profile of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, tied to the model number SM-G928P, was also part of the leak that originated from Sprint. The S6 Edge Plus is alike to the Note 5, apart from the fact that there is no stylus capability. According to a report in Phone Arena, the configurations too are similar to the coming Galaxy Note 5.
However, Samsung is yet to confirm the specifications of the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus or the Galaxy Note 5.
